Worker killed by miscreants in Tangail; 1 held

Tangail, Sept 4 (UNB) - Miscreants slaughtered a worker of a textile mill at Koijuri village in Delduar upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Shakil, 20, worker of Akandapara Sonar Bangla Textile Mill in the upazila and son of Anwar Hossain of the village.

Police quoting family sources said Shakil returned home from his workplace at 10pm and after sometime his co-worker Monir Hossain called him out of his house and since then he remained missing.

Later, local people found his slaughtered body in the morning at a paddy field in the village. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Victim’s father filed a case with Delduar thana and police arrested Monir, son of Delwar Hossain of Charpara Kamanna village in this connection.
