Dhaka, Sept 4 (UNB) - Croatian football coach Robert Rubcic recently signed a contract with Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to act as the head of coaching of Bangladesh teams initially for one year.
Rubcic, 47, who played for the Croatian national team and the World Star team, will arrive here on Sept 8 at 5:20 pm by Qatar Airways via Germany and Qatar to begin training the Bangladesh team.
He groomed FC Rijeka of Croatia, which was placed 3rd in the UEFA Cup during the 2008-09 season, and also acted its Sports Director from 2005-2008.
Rubcic played for FC Rijeka in 1982-84 and 1985-96 seasons, for Jedinstvo Bihac of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1984-85, for NK Gorica of Slovenia in 1996-97 and for the national youth team of Yugoslavia in his colorful career.
He trained the Croatian Junior team and produced a lot of good players.
