Dhaka, Sept 5 (UNB) - Bangladesh won two bronze medals in the 6th Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship held in Gumi, South Korea today (Sunday).
Shahnaz Parvin of Bangladesh won the bronze in women’s 62 kg weight category beating her Thai rival while Sraboni Biswas got the bronze in women’s 67 kg weight category beating her Chinese rival.
Participants of 44 countries are competing in the five-day (Sept 2-6) meet, organized by Korea Taekwondo Federation and approved by World Taekwondo Federation.
Bangladeshi players will also take part in the 7th Gyeongnam Provincial International Taekwondo Championship to be held Sept 10-12 in Korea.
