Vegetable trader killed by miscreants in Bogra

Bogra, Sept 6 (UNB) - A vegetable trader was slaughtered to death by unidentified miscreants at Mahasthan in Shibganj upazila on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Masum, 25, son of Jahidul Islam of village Purbo Mahasthan in the same upazila.

Police said vegetable trader Masum of Mahasthan bazaar came to his village home closing his shop Saturday evening for taking Iftar. Later, he went out of his house after receiving a phone call and since then he remained missing.

Locals found the slaughtered body of Masum in a field in between Mahasthan and Bhabaniganj villages at about 11am on Sunday.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. The reason behind the murder could not be known.

A case was filed in this connection.
