News - Junior School Certificate Exams to begin on November 4
Dhaka, Sept 6 (UNB) - The newly introduced Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations for the students of class VIII will begin across the country on November 4 with identical questionnaires.

A total of 15,20,731 students will sit for the exams this year. Some 12,48,078 examinees under eight education boards and some 2,72,653 under madrasha board will take part in the examinations.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid informed it at a press conference at Secretariat on Monday.

Education secretary Syed Ataur Rahman, Director General of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Directorate Prof Noman Ur Rashid and chairman of Dhaka Education Board Prof Fahima Khatun, among others, were present at the press conference.

Nahid formally announced the routines of JSC and JDS examinations at the press conference.
