Shibir man held in Rajshahi

Rajshahi, Sept 6 (UNB) - A Shibir activist was arrested from Kumarpara area of the town on Sunday night.

The arrested Shibir man was identified as Arafat Hossain Eti, son of Kamal Uddin in Dhorompur area of the city. He was one of the accused of Faruq murder case of Rajshahi University.

On information a team of Boalkhali Model thana police arrested Eti from near Awami League office at Kumarpara in the town due to his suspicious movement at around 10 am.

Later, he was handed over to Motihar Police Station.

Officer-in-charge of Motihar thana Abul Khair said Eti was shown arrested for launching attack on the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League on RU campus on February 8 this year.

Eti went into hiding soon after the incident.
