Abahani leaves for India today to take part in Bordolai Trophy

Dhaka, Sept 6 (UNB) - The players of Abahani Limited left here for India Monday afternoon to take part in the 58th Bordolai Trophy to be held in Assam.

Abahani Club manager Satyajit Das Rupu told UNB that 19 out of the 23 members of the team left here today while the remaining four foreign booters, who could not accompany the team due to visa problem, will join the team on Wednesday.

The three-time professional league champions, Abahani Limited, which is taking part in the tournament as preparations ahead of the new season’s domestic meets, will play their opening match on September 9 and the 2nd match on Sept 11.

In 2008, Abahani Limited made exit in the semifinal stage of the tournament after losing in tiebreaker.
