Army person held with phensidyl in Faridpur

Faridpur, Sept 6 (UNB) - An army person was arrested with along with phensidyl from a bus in Rail gate area of Madhukhali upazila here on Sunday night.

The arrested person was identified as Major Shibbir Ahmed, of East Bengal Regiment Station (Training Battalion) in Chittagong.

A patrol team of police found three bottles of phensidyl in a bag of Shibbir during their search in a Dhaka bound ‘Volvo’ bus coming from Benapole at 9:30 pm.

Later Major Shibbir was handed over to Modhukhali thana. Police filed a case in this connection.

Syed Mohsenul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (O/C) of Madhukhali police station said he was sent to his working place through Jessore Cantonment.
