Dinajpur, Sept 7 (UNB) - Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port remained suspended on Tuesday due to bandh (hartal) in West Bengal State of India.

Ferdous Rahman, President of Hakimpur Banglahili Customs C&F Association, said that trade through the country’s second land port remained suspended from 6am due to the daylong bandh, which was enforced by Indian labour organization protesting price hike of essentials.

Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port may resume tomorrow (Wednesday) morning as the bandh in India will end today.
