Minor boy drowns in Meherpur

Meherpur, Sept 8 (UNB) - A minor boy drowned in a pond adjacent to the town’s Boro Bazaar Jam-e-Mosque on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Rakibul, 4, son of Kochi Hossain of Fousdaripara in the town.

Family sources said since afternoon Rakibul went missing. Musullis of the mosque saw the body floating in the pond near his house in the evening and informed the police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue autopsy.
