Muggers take away motorbike after killing its driver in Khulna

Khulna, Sept 8 (UNB) - Muggers strangulated a motorbike driver in Nurnagar Munshipara area of the town and took away his bike on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Lovelu, 30, son of Rustam Ali of Lobonchara Bokharipara area of the district town.

Police said on Monday night a gang of muggers in the guise of passengers hired the bike and tactfully took Lovelu to Munsipara CSD godown area of the town at dead of night.

Later, the criminals tied up his hands, mouth and legs and hijacked the bike after strangulating him to death.

Local people found the body in the area in the morning and informed police. Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection.
