News - 3-day long Thai fair to be held from Sept 16-18 in Dhaka
Dhaka, Sept 8 (UNB) - A 3-day long fair, titled “Destination Thailand Fair in Bangladesh 2010” organized by the Royal Thai embassy, Dhaka and its partners from Sept 16-18, will be held on the embassy’s premises in Baridhara.

The fair will be open to the general public and no entry fee will be required, says a press release of Royal Thai embassy.

The fair will be divided into 6 zones namely travel zone, education zone, healthcare zone, food zone, shopping zone and recreation zone consisting of 44 stalls and an area for education exhibition and stage activities.

At the fair the following activities will be offered to the visitors: 1) Free tourist and medical visa on the spot.

2) Chances to win free return tickets to Bankok and other prizes.

3) Discounts and special deals for tickets, holiday and medical packages to Thailand.

4) Shopping of Thai products at special prices.

5) Thai cultural show (by the Thai troupe flown directly from Thailand).

6) Free consultation on higher education in Thailand.

7) Sumptuous food from leading Thai restaurant in Dhaka.

8) Demonstration of Thai traditional massage.

Civil Aviation and Tourism minister Ghulam Md Kader is expected to inaugurate the inaugural ceremony of the fair as chief guest on Sept 16.
