Rajshahi, Oct 21 (UNB) - Nineteen cement made electric pole of Power Development Board (PDB) worth about Tk 3 lakh were stolen at Shaheb Bazar and Bhadra bypass area in the city.

Manager Manik, on behalf of Imtiaz Ahmed Shamsul Huda, contractor of PDB, on Tuesday filed a case with Shah Makhdum thana in this connection.

Two linemen of power office - Babu and his younger brother Dabu - and some other unidentified men were made accused in the case.

In the case statement, it was stated that miscreants in connivance with Babu and Dabu stole the poles.

PDB sources said that they would take necessary steps after receiving specific allegation.

The plaintiff, however, alleged that no step was taken earlier by authorities though they were informed about the matter several times.

When contacted, engineer Moazzem Hossain Dewan, PDB’s sale and distribution department-10, said he was unaware of the matter.
