Chevron Bangladesh arranges eye-camp in Moulvibazar

Dhaka, Dec 23 (UNB)-Chevron Bangladesh, with the support of Rotary Club of Jalalabad, organized an eye camp at Kalapur Government Primary school field in Sreemangal of Moulvibazar district recently.

The event sought to create an opportunity for patients with eye-related problems to gain access to necessary consultation and medicines. The eye camp provided free eye care and medicines to those
who attended, says a press release issued on Thursday.

Rotarian Doctor Abdus Salam, Eye Specialist and Surgeon of Sylhet Eye Centre and his assistant Kamrul Islam attended to over 500 patients of which 58 were recorded as requiring cataract surgery.

Chevron Bangladesh took responsibility to sponsor their complete treatment with Sylhet Eye Care. 100 patients were also provided with free spectacles.

M.A. Monir, President, Upazila Awami League, was a special guest at the occasion. Imrul Kabir, Gas Plant Superintendent of Moulvibazar Gas Plant, Zulfikar Ahmed Chowdhury, Manager Community Engagement, Samad Chowdhury, Manager, Government Relations were also present
among others representing Chevron Bangladesh.
