Abahani registers 2-1 win over Ctg Mohammedan in Bangladesh League

Dhaka, Jan 13 (UNB)-Holders Abahani Limited, came from behind and registered a 2-1 victory over Chittagong Mohammedan SC in the lone encounter of the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League that resumed after a two-day recess at Cox’s Bazar Stadium on Thursday.

With the day’s outcome, Abahani earned their second win collecting seven points while Chittagong Mohammedan SC, with day’s consecutive defeats, remained at three points, both playing four matches.

Farhad put Chittagong Mohammedan ahead in the 69th minute (1-0) while Ghanaian striker Ntiny Frank restored the parity for Abahani in the 75th minute (1-1).

Shakhawat Hossain Ronny scored the match-winner for the traditional Dhanmondi outfit in the 86th minute (2-1).

Friday’s match: Rahmatganj MFS vs Dhaka Mohammedan SC (Kamlapur Stadium at 4 pm).
