News - US to provide technical assistance in demarcating maritime boundary of Bangladesh

Dhaka, Sept 9 (UNB) - The USA is willing to provide technical assistance in demarcating maritime boundary of Bangladesh.

A seven-member US delegation led by Col (retd) David M Shanaha expressed the eagerness during a meeting with M Idris Ali, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence Ministry, at his office today.

Various bilateral issues, including security, were discussed at the meeting.

The delegation members also expressed their keenness to organize a workshop on civil-military mutual security in Bangladesh, saida Parliament Secretariat release.
