4 held with arms in Narail

Narail, Mar 5 (UNB) – Detective Brunch of police in a drive arrested four people and recovered one shutter gun and a bullet at Egaronoli village in Lohagara upazila on Firday.

The arrestees were identified as M Nazrul Islam, 28 son of late Tobibor Rahman of Noapara village, Abdul Alim, 38, son of Hannan Sheikh of Baroipara village, Sarowar Mollah, 30, son of Abdul Salam Mollah and Raju Mollah, 21, son of Mohammad Akbar Mollah of the upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police led by SI Abul Khair went to a field at the village at about 11:45 pm where a village fair was going on.

When Abdul Alim, Sarowar and Raju Mollah came to the spot in a motorbike the law enforcers searched their bodies and recovered the gun and bullet from the possession of Alim. 

Later, Alim confessed that the owner of the gun is Nazrul of neighboring area. The DB men soon raided the house of Nazrul and arrested him.

A case was filed in this connection.
