Dhaka, Mar 14 (UNB) - Charge hearing in a criminal case against top Jamaat leaders in a metropolitan magistrate court scheduled today was deferred till April 6.

Jamaat chief Maulana Matiur Rahman, central leaders Ali Ahsan Mohammad Muzahid, Delwar Hossain Sayedee and Rafiqul Islam detained in prison in half a dozen cases including war crimes were brought to the court.

The court deferred hearing as counsel for the plaintiff prayed for time.

Plaintiff Rezaul Haq in his case filed on July 21 last year said Rafiqul Islam addressing a meeting at Al Falah centre had compared Jamaat Ameer Maulana Nizami with the Great Prophet Hazrat Mohmmad (SM) in presence of all the accused persons.
