Dhaka, Apr 03 (UNB) - Court on Sunday fixed May 5 for the hearing on taking into cognizance the charge against BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman in a money laundering case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in 2009.

Metro Sessions Judge Mohammad Zahurul Haque passed the order after Tarique Rahman`s lawyer submitted a petition seeking adjournment of the hearing.

It was stated in the adjournment petition that a leave to appeal is pending for hearing before the Appellate Division against the order of the High Court that rejected quashment petition of Tarique Rahman on October 29, 2010.
