Benapole, Apr 13 (UNB) - Trade activities through Benapole land port will remain suspended from Thursday to Saturday (Apr 14-16) on the occasion of `Pahela Baishakh`, the Bengali New Year.

Benapole Customs (cargo) superintendent Mostak Ahmed said all trades, including export and import, will come to a halt for 3-day starting tomorrow morning as `Pahela Boishakh` will be celebrated with festive mood in Bangladesh and India`s West Bengal state.

Trades through the country`s biggest port will resume on Sunday (Apr 17), he added.
