Asia Pacific peace delegation meets Hasina

Dhaka, June 5 (UNB)- A 37-member delegation with representations from 11 countries headed by Bangladesh Peace Council president Abdur Razzak MP met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban Sunday evening.

PM’s press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told reporters that the delegation members praised the Prime Minister’s leadership for maintaining regional and global peace as well as raising the issue of the adverse impact of the climate change with the international forums.

The delegation attended a two-day Asia Pacific Peace Conference that began in the capital on Saturday.

The Prime Minister who delivered a statement at the Asia Pacific Peace Conference said that the conference would work as a milestone in establishing peace and stability in the region and the beyond.
