5 fishermen missing as trawler capsizes in Bay of Bengal

Bagerhat, July 22 (UNB) - Five fishermen went missing as a fishing trawler sank in the Bay of Bengal at the coastal area of Bagerhat Thursday evening.

Eye witnesses informed, a trawler carrying nine fishermen was caught in the tidal wave caused by the depression and submerged in the Bay of Bengal.

Four of the nine fishermen were able to swim to another trawler as others drowned in the Bay.

Earlier, another fishing trawler named MV Mostafa submerged in the Bay but all the eight fishermen in it were able to swim to another trawler.
