BOGOTA, Colombia, Oct 23 (AP/UNB) - Colombia's military says a rebel attack has killed at least 10 soldiers in the country's northeast.

It is the second attack in less than three days to kill 10 soldiers. That total is the worst loss suffered by Colombian security forces in more than a year.

Both attacks are being blamed on the leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

The army command says Saturday's attack happened in a rural area of Tame municipality about 200 miles (320 kilometers) northeast of Bogota. The army's announcement gives no details of the attack.

An attack in Colombia's southwest around midnight Thursday also killed 10 soldiers.
