Tk 74.50 crore BKB loan for Pirojpur farmers

Pirojpur, Oct 28 (UNB)-Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) will disburse Tk 74.50 crore loans among the farmers in the district in the current fiscal year.

Of the total amount, Tk 40 crore will be disbursed for Aman and Boro crops cultivation, Tk 10 lakh for purchasing irrigation equipment, Tk 15 lakh for purchasing agricultural equipment, Tk 6 crore for animal resources sector, Tk 9 crore for fish cultivation, Tk 25 lakh as agri loan, Tk 1.30 crroe for poverty alleviation, Tk 4 crore for establishing small and medium industry and the rest amount for other sectors.

The loans are being disbursed through the bank’s 24 branches and it is likely to be completed by June next.
