Dhaka, Nov 25 (UNB) - The Bangladesh Bank will release a commemorative silver coin on Saturday afternoon marking the 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will formally release the silver coin at 4 pm at function at Bangladesh Bank’s Training Academy at Mirpur in the city. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman will be present as special guest.

After its formal release, the interested people will be able to collect the commemorative silver coin weighing 22.10 grams along with a beautiful wooden box at a cost of Tk 3,500 from a temporary booth of the BB’s Training Academy at Mirpur.

The commemorative silver coin will be available at the central bank’s Motijheel office from 10 am on Sunday (Nov 27) and later, from all its branch offices and the branches of different commercial banks.
