
Brahmanbaria, Dec 1 (UNB): Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through Akhaura land port remained suspended since Thursday morning due to strike enforced by the businessmen of Tripura.
The businessmen enforced the daylong strike protesting Indian central government’s decision to give permit for retail business.
Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Akhaura land port export-import association president, said the businessmen of Agartala informed them on Wednesday about their decision to go for the strike.
