Petroleum price rises by Tk 5 per litre

Dhaka, Dec 29 (UNB) - Price of petroleum fuels has been raised by flat rate of Tk 5 per litre.

The retail price of Kerosene and diesel was re-fixed diesel
Tk 61, octane Tk 94, petrol Tk 91 and furnace oil Tk 60 per litre.

The government announced the price hike Thursday night giving immediate effect.

Petroleum fuel price was increased thrice, raising the price by Tk 15 per litre during the last three months.

The official announcement said petroleum fuel price was increased in the wake of decline of taka value. The step was taken to reduce the huge subsidy.
