Outlaw held with arms in Meherpur

Meherpur, Jan 04 (UNB) - A suspected cadre of Purbo Bangla Communist Party Lal Pataka (Red Flag) was arrested along with arms at Aar Para village in Gangni upazila early Wednesday.

The arrestee was- Najibur Rahman, 38, son of Nurul Haq Fakir of the village.

Gangni thana officer-in-charge Golam Mostofa said, being tipped-off, a team of police conducted a drive at the house of Najibur and arrested him.

A shutter gun was recovered from his possession.

He is one of the listed terrorists and accused in several cases with Gangni thana, police said.
