21, 200kg fertilizer seized, one held in Bagherhat

Bagherhat, Feb 6 (UNB) – Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested a trader along with 21, 200 kgs of different varieties of fertilizer at Chalna Bazar area in Dakop upazila on Sunday evening.

The arrested was identified as Ibadat Hossain, 43, a fertilizer trader of the bazar.

Acting on secrete information, a team of coast guard raided the bazar and arrested Ibadat Hossain with illegally hoarded 21,200 kgs of fertilizer, said M Hassanuzaman, staff officer of coast guard Mongla west zone.

The seized fertilizer varieties include 3,800 kgs Urea, 10,500 kgs TSP, 5000 kgs Gypsum and 1900 kgs DAP.

A case was filed in this connection.
