Khulna, Feb 7 (UNB) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized a truck loaded with huge smuggled Indian clothes and medicines worth over Tk 3 crore from the city’s Moilaputa area early Monday.

Being tipped off that a truck with Indian goods was heading towards Khulna from Satkhira, a team of the elite force took position in front of Hotel Kodar in the area at about 3:00am, said Commander of RAB-6 Rezaul Islam on Monday night.

He said the truck reached the area at about 5:00am. However, sensing the presence of the crime busters, the truck driver and smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the lorry.

Later, the RAB members seized the smuggled Indian clothes, including saris and three-piece sets, and medicines.
