Chinese company to invest in Uttara EPZ

Dhaka, Feb 8 (UNB) - A Chinese company will invest US$ 29.89 million in setting up a hand bags, wallet and belt manufacturing industry in the Uttara Export Processing Zone.

The company, M/s. Ventura Leatherware MFY (BD) Limited, will create employment opportunity for 5,000 Bangladeshi nationals.

To this effect, the company signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority in BEPZA Complex here on Wednesday, according to a press release.
