Khulna, Feb 14 (UNB) - A housewife was killed in a road accident at Ranai village in Dumuria upazila on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Rafeja Begum, 30, wife of Bokkar Hossian of the village.

Muhammad Abdul Quader, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Thana, said the accident occurred at about 11am on Khulna-Sathkhira highway when a speeding bus hit Rafeja, killing her on the spot.

Locals caught the bus but the driver fled the scene.

The body was handed over to her relatives.
