Abahani earns 3-1 victory over Air Force in Shaheed Smriti Hockey
Dhaka, Feb 19 (UNB) - Abahani Limited earned a facile 3-1 goals victory over Bangladesh Air Force in the lone match of the Exim Bank-Nurjahan Group Shaheed Smriti Hockey Tournament at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium here today (Sunday).
Iqbal Nadir Prince put Abahani Limited ahead in the 32nd minute by a field goal (1-0) while Hasan Jubair Niloy doubled the margin in the 45th minute, also by a field goal (2-0).
Shamim Miah of Air Force reduced the margin in the 53rd minute from a penalty corner (2-1) while Moshiur Rahman Biplob confirmed Abahani’s comfortable victory adding one more goal in the 64th minute, also from a penalty corner (3-1).
