Dhaka, Feb 23 (UNB) - Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), a pro-BNP physicians organisation, on Wednesday extended its support to Khaleda Zia’s grand rally in the capital on March 12.

Over 100 leaders and members of DAB and eminent physicians extended their support when they met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office at around 10-15 pm.

As part of her ongoing exchange of views with different professional groups and individuals over March 12 `Cholo Cholo Dhaka Cholo` programme (Let’s Go to Dhaka), the BNP chairperson talked to DAB leaders and other senior physicians today.

DAB president Dr MA Aziz and secretary general Dr AZM Zahid Hossain led the DAB delegation at the meeting that continued over an hour.

At the meeting, BNP chairperson Khaleda said the March 12 grand rally is a peaceful programme and termed as a `programme of mass people`, the meeting sources said.

The DAB leaders and other eminent physicians assured that they, from their respective positions, will mobilise their colleagues and people in a big way for the March 12 programme, the sources said.
