PM inaugurates first flyover in port city Mar 28: Quader
Chittagong, Mar 08 (UNB) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the first flyover of the port city on March 28.
``The Prime Minister will visit the port city on March 28 to open the flyover,`` Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday after visiting the 1.5-km long flyover built near Marine Drive under Port Police Station at a cost of Tk 82 crore.
He said the flyover, which will directly connect the Chittagong Port with the downtown, will substantially reduce gridlock in this area.
MA Latif, MP, Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, MP, Deputy Commissioner Faij Ahmed and high officials of CDA and Chottagong Port Authority accompanied the Minister.
