PM’s directive to make March 14 grand rally a success
Dhaka, Mar 9 (UNB) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday directed the leaders of Dhaka district Awami League and its adjoining districts to make the 14-party grand rally to be held in the capital on March 14 a success.
She made the directives during a meeting of Awami League presidents and secretaries of Dhaka and adjoining districts held at her official Ganobhaban residence this evening, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad told reporters.
Organisational activities and the country’s present political situation also came up for discussion, he said.
AL general secretary and LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, AL joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, organising secretaries Jahangir Kabir Nanak, AFM Bahauddin Nasim and Ahmad Hossain, office secretary Adv Abdul Mannan Khan were present.
Besides, Dhaka city Awami League acting president MA Aziz and general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, and AL presidents and general secretaries of Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narsingdi, Gazipur and Narayanganj were also present.
