President shocked at loss of lives in launch capsize
Dhaka, Mar 13 (UNB) - President Zillur Rahman has expressed his deep shock at the loss of lives in a launch capsize in the Meghna River in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj early Tuesday.
In a message of condolence, he prayed for peace of the departed souls and conveyed his profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved families.
The President also directed the concerned authorities to find out the reason of the accident and take necessary steps so that such tragic incident does not occur in the future.
He asked the owners, drivers and staff of all water vessels to help the government check accidents in the waterways.
