Jakarta, March 17 (Asiane/UNB) - Pt Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) plans to build another factory in Indonesia with a total investment of Rp3.1 trillion (US$338 million), a source said.
"Indonesia is an important partner for Honda as it is the biggest automotive market in Southeast Asia," President and CEO of Asian Honda Motor Hiroshi Kobayashi said. He said Honda was planning to make Indonesia as one of the main locations of its global factory alongside Thailand and India.
The new establishment of new Honda factory in Indonesia was expected to boost production capacity from 60,000 units of car per year to 180,000 units.
