3 'criminals' arrested in Savar

Savar, Mar 18 (UNB) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested three alleged criminals along with a firearm and drugs from Khasrubagh area here on Saturday night.

The arrested were identified as Bulbul, Brishti and Malek. They had long been engaged in various criminal activities, including drug peddling, robbery and snatching, in the area, said RAB sources.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive at the drug trading spot controlled by local terrorist Munna at about 11:30pm and arrested the trio.

The crime combatants also recovered a foreign pistol, 300 grams of heroin and 21 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possession.

The arrested were handed over to Savar Police Station. A case was filed in this connection.
