Dhaka, Mar 30 (UNB) – Bangladesh Army clinched the four-team KFC-Pizza Hut Independence Day Volleyball title beating Bangladesh Navy by 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-12 points in the final at Dhaka Volleyball Stadium here today (Friday).
Bangladesh Navy finished runners-up, Bangladesh Air Force became 3rd while Border Guard Bangladesh was placed 4th and last in the four-team meet.
Shahjahan of Bangladesh Navy was adjudged the most valuable player, Emdad of Bangladesh Army named as the best attacker while Prakash Shrestha of Bangladesh Army was adjudged the best blocker of the meet.
Managing Director and CEO of KFC and Pizza Hut Akku Chowdhury was the chief guest in the day’s final and distributed the prizes. President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Golam Quddus Chowdhury Babu was also present on the occasion.
