Fire damages 5 houses in Natore

Natore, Apr 2 (UNB) - At least 5 houses were gutted by a devastating fire at Jongli Bogra village in Sadar upazila on Sunday early hours.

Local people said the fire originated from the burning mosquito coil at the cowshed of farmer Ansar Ali late at night and soon engulfed the four other adjacent houses.

On information, fire fighters from Sadar upazila headquarters rushed in and doused the blaze with the help of local people.

The affected families, in preliminary estimate, put the loss from the fire at about Tk 5 lakh.
