Engineering firm looted in Savar
Savar, Apr 5 (UNB) - A gang of robbers looted an engineering firm near Savar Bazar bus stand after making the guards of the business house unconscious by feeding them foods mixed with sedative drugs on Wednesday noon.
The muggers took away two computers, three tonnes of copper strip, copper busbar, four CCTV cameras and other valuables worth about Tk 30 lakh from Power Bridge Engineering Ltd.
Police said the criminals made a good relationship with two guards of the firm, Nurul Islam and Kamrul Hasan, in the last a few days. They tactfully feed the guards foods mixed with sedative drugs in the afternoon and looted the firm.
On information, police visited the spot and sent Nurul Islam and Kamrul Hasan to a local hospital.
A case was filed with local police in this connection.
Savar thana OC Asaduzzaman said they launched a massive drive to track down the criminals.
