2-day Nazrul Conference underway in Khulna

Khulna, Apr 6 (UNB) – A 2-day National Nazrul Conference began at local Circuit House on Friday.

Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the conference, which is being organized by Nazrul Institute.

Chaired by Nazrul Institute Trustee Board chairman Prof. Rafiqul Islam, the function was attended, among others, by State Minister of Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq.

Addressing the occasion, Information Minister said poet Nazrul through his messages had inspired the Bangalee nation.

Later artistes from Dhaka and Khulna performed songs, recitation and dances.
