Dhaka, Mar 8 (UNB) – Freedom fighter Anwarul Islam Ashraf,  elder brother of State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Tajul Islam, passed away at BIRDEM Hospital on Saturday night at the age of 68.

In a condolence message, chairman of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Punarbashon Sangstha Iqbal-e-Alam Kamal and secretary general Habibur Rahman expressed their deep shock at the death of Ashraf.

They also conveyed their profound sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
