Netherlands-Bangladesh joint venture company to invest US$ 0.73 mn in Mongla EPZ

Dhaka, Apr 9 (UNB) - The Cotto Factory Limited, a Netherlands-Bangladesh joint venture company, will invest US$ 0.73 million to set up a Terracotta Clay Tiles Manufacturing Industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

Once the industrial unit goes into operation to produce Terracotta Clay Tiles items, it will help create employment opportunity for 124 Bangladeshi nationals, according to a press release of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA).

An agreement to this effect has already been signed between the BEPZA and Cotto Factory in BEPZA Complex.

General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Managing Director of Cotto Factory Limited Ali Askar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

BEPZA executive chairman Maj Gen ATM Shahidul Islam, secretary Shawkat Nabi, general manager (Public Relations) SM Akhter Alam Mostafi and other officials of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
