Benapole, Apr 11 (UNB) – Six Bangladeshis returned home through Benapole check-post on Wednesday.
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed them over to Border Guard Bangladesh in the afternoon.
They were identified as Rehena Khatun, Rehena’s two sons-- Sonu Mia and Sakil,-- Azim, Golam Ambia, and Jamal Hossain. They all hailed from different areas of Nilphamari and Comilla.
The returnees were later handed over to Benapole thana police.
Benapole check-post immigration officer (in-charge) Quamruzzaman said they went to India on March 29 with valid passport and visa.
In India, they took visa for going to Pakistan by air route with the help of middlemen.
Instead of using the air route, they entered Pakistan by land on April 7 when Pakistani police held them on charge of changing the air route.
Pakistan police handed them over to Indian police the same day.
