Trade thru’ Benapole land port resumes after 1-day break for digital divide

Benapole, Apr 12 (UNB) - Trades through Benapole Land Port resumed on Thursday morning after a 1-day suspension following complexities over internet network at Petrapole Land Port in India.

Benapole Land Port sources said export and import resumed through this important land port after 24 hours break due to internet failure at Petrapole.

Kartik Chandra, General Secretary of C & F Welfare Trust Association of Petrapole Land Port said the digital divide was caused by virus. ``Trades between the two countries through Petrapole came to a halt on Wednesday morning following network failure as virus attacked the internet network system of Petrapole Customs.

Loading and unloading of goods at Benapole restarted at dawn and were going on in full swing since then following resumption of the networking at Petrapole, Benapole C & F agents said.
