News - Canada-China joint venture company invests $15m in DEPZ
Dhaka, Apr 15 (UNB) –A joint venture company of Canada and China will invest US$15 million for setting up a Garments Accessories Manufacturing Industry in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ).

The cent percent foreign owned company --M/s. Globalmax Textile Co. Limited-- will manufacture garment accessories items and create employment opportunity for 1392 Bangladeshi nationals.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Procession Zones Authority and M/s. Globalmax Textile Co. Limited in the city’s BEPZA Complex on Sunday, said a press release.

Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Cheung Yiu Tak Peter, General Manager of M/s. Globalmax Textile Co. Limited signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
