Robbers loot valuables from two houses in Chandpur; 4 injured

Chandpur, Apr 18 (UNB) - Robbers looted cash and valuables from two houses at Gabdergaon village in Faridganj upazila early Tuesday.

Locals said a gang of 8-10 armed robbers entered the house of Abdus Rob Master by breaking the door open late at night and at one stage stabbed him and his son Mohin with sharp weapons leaving them critically injured late at night.

They later tied up Rob’s wife with rope and looted Tk 20, 000 in cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house.

The robbers also stormed into the neighboring house of Khokon Debnath, made the house inmates hostage at gun point and looted cash and valuables leaving his wife and son critically injured.

Of the injured, Rob Master and his son Mohin were admitted to Faridganj Upazila Health Complex. Later, they were shifted to Chandpur General Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
