Stocks stay down in early trading

News - Stocks stay down in early trading
Dhaka, Apr 19 (UNB) - Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -– witness loss in early hours of trading on Thursday.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN lost 32.77 points or 0.59 percent to stand at 5447.40 at 12:00 pm. Of the issues traded till then, 33 advanced, 184declined and 17 remained unchanged.

Similarly, the CSE key index, CSCX lost 78.02 points to stand at 10147.37 till 12:00 pm. Of the issues traded till then, 23 advanced, 97 suffered losses and 23 remained unchanged.

On Wednesday, the DSE lost 22.11 points and the CSE 3.2 points to close at 5480.18 points and 10225.39 points respectively at the close of trading.
